Pack your bag for on-site history learning - Four weekends this school year!
The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center and North Central Ohio Educational Service Center have partnered with the Ohio Historical Society to give you a free ride to four American history sites in Ohio this school year. To better teach your students, we invite you to step into American History as it played out in Ohio.
The themes for these weekends are taken directly from the K-8 Ohio Social Studies Standards. A focus on the setting, its primary documents and artifacts and on differentiated learning will prevail. As you learn and experience the unique history of each setting from scholars, archivists and curators at the site, you will have time to immediately process and apply your experiences to a set of lesson plans to take back for your students.
You may choose to come to any or all of the Friday/Saturday weekends
